1. Overview

At GrabURL, we deal exclusively with digital products - domain names. Unlike physical goods, domain names are transferred electronically through domain registrars. This policy explains our domain transfer and delivery process.

Important: No physical shipping is involved. All "delivery" refers to electronic domain transfer.

2. Domain Transfer Process

Domain delivery is completed through a standard domain transfer process:

  1. Payment Confirmation: Once your payment is processed and confirmed (through Stripe, Razorpay, or Escrow.com)
  2. Authorization Code: We provide you with the domain authorization code (EPP code) via email within 24-48 hours
  3. Transfer Initiation: You initiate the transfer at your preferred domain registrar using the provided authorization code
  4. Transfer Approval: We approve the transfer request from our end
  5. Transfer Completion: The domain registrar completes the transfer (typically 5-7 days)
  6. Confirmation: You confirm receipt of the domain in your registrar account
3. Delivery Timeline

3.1 Authorization Code Delivery

  • Standard Delivery: 24-48 hours after payment confirmation
  • Express Delivery: 12-24 hours (available for premium domains)
  • Weekends/Holidays: May experience 1-2 day delays

3.2 Complete Transfer Timeline

  • Total Time: 5-10 days from payment to complete ownership
  • Authorization Code: 24-48 hours
  • Domain Registry Processing: 5-7 days (industry standard)
  • Registrar Processing: 1-2 days

Note: Transfer timeline is governed by ICANN policies and your domain registrar. We cannot expedite the actual transfer process beyond providing the authorization code promptly.

4. Geographic Restrictions

Since domain transfers are electronic, there are NO geographic restrictions. We can transfer domains to buyers anywhere in the world.

  • Asia-Pacific
  • Rest of World (via Stripe)

However, you must have an account with a domain registrar that accepts transfers for your domain extension (.com, .net, .org, etc.).

5. Delivery Methods

5.1 Push Transfer (Fastest)

If you have an account at the same registrar where the domain is currently registered:

  • Delivery time: 1-24 hours
  • No authorization code needed
  • Instant ownership transfer
  • Recommended for same-registrar transfers

5.2 Authorization Code Transfer (Standard)

Transfer to a different registrar using EPP/Authorization code:

  • Delivery time: 5-7 days
  • Authorization code provided within 24-48 hours
  • Standard ICANN transfer process
  • Most common method

5.3 Registrar Account Transfer

In some cases, we may transfer the entire registrar account:

  • Delivery time: 1-3 days
  • Used for high-value domains or bundles
  • Includes full account credentials
  • Most secure for valuable domains
6. What You Need to Receive a Domain

To successfully receive your domain, you must have:

  1. Domain Registrar Account: An account at any ICANN-accredited domain registrar (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Google Domains, etc.)
  2. Unlocked Domain: Ensure your registrar account can accept incoming transfers
  3. Valid Email: Access to the email address associated with your registrar account
  4. Approval Rights: Administrative access to approve the transfer

Important: If you don't have a registrar account, please create one BEFORE purchasing. We recommend:

  • GoDaddy (International)
  • Namecheap (International)
  • Google Domains (Now Squarespace)
  • BigRock (India)
7. Tracking Your Transfer

You can track your domain transfer status through:

  1. Email Notifications: We send updates at each step of the transfer process
  2. Dashboard: Check your GrabURL dashboard for real-time status
  3. Order History: View detailed transfer timeline in your order history
  4. Registrar Portal: Check incoming transfer status at your registrar

Transfer Status Codes:

  • Payment Confirmed: Payment received and verified
  • Processing: Preparing authorization code
  • Code Sent: Authorization code emailed to you
  • Transfer Initiated: You've started the transfer
  • Pending Approval: Awaiting transfer approval
  • In Progress: Registrar processing transfer
  • Completed: Domain successfully transferred
8. Delivery Issues & Support

Common Issues:

  • Authorization code not received: Check spam folder or contact support
  • Transfer rejected: Domain may be locked or recently transferred (60-day rule)
  • Invalid authorization code: Contact us for a new code
  • Registrar not accepting transfer: Check domain eligibility with your registrar

9. Failed or Delayed Transfers

If your domain transfer fails or is significantly delayed:

  1. We will investigate the cause within 24 hours
  2. Provide you with alternative transfer methods
  3. If transfer cannot be completed, offer a full refund
  4. Work with your registrar to resolve any technical issues

Guaranteed Delivery: We guarantee that you will receive your domain or receive a full refund. No exceptions.

10. Domain Lock Period

Please be aware of ICANN's 60-day transfer lock policy:

  • Domains are locked for 60 days after registration
  • Domains are locked for 60 days after a previous transfer
  • We cannot override this industry-standard security measure
  • Domain lock information is disclosed in the listing

If a domain is in a lock period, we will clearly indicate this and the expected unlock date.

11. After-Delivery Support

After your domain is successfully transferred, we provide:

  • 30-day post-transfer support
  • Assistance with DNS configuration (optional)
  • Help with registrar account setup
  • Domain management best practices
  • Recommendations for hosting providers
